dc.description.abstractThere is no iota of doubt that health and safety issues have now become paramount in any discuss since concern for human right, human dignity and welfare have become amplified in our society. Conversely, issues of violations of these rights especially by professionals have also increased dramatically. Legislation is used to regulate certain conducts or behaviors and to guide the populace on acceptable standard of conduct in relating with others. Legislation is therefore a veritable technique of exacting these standards and best practices in our endeavors. This paper is therefore aimed at appraising the relevance of the legal framework for the regulation of dental practice in Nigeria.
